Nicknamed "The Golden City", Jaisalmer is a small town located in the state of Rajasthan in India and is around 600 kilometers west from the state capital of Jaipur. It stands on a ridge of sand stone of yellow color and is crowned by a fort having the palace and various Jain temples.
